Eid gifts are usually a package of food, some clothes and a toy for the family/children. The aim is to help provide a moment of normality and happiness to those whose lives have been torn apart.

It was said that the reason of the well-known habit of the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) which was to walk to the place of Eid prayer using one route and walk back using another was for the simple reason of being able to see more people and being able to distribute more gifts/charity.

Every year, All India Muslim Youth Majlis distributes Eid gifts to poor families and children to include them in the happiness and celebration enjoyed by the rest of their brethren across the country.
The end of holy month Ramadan is marked by the beginning of Eid-ul-fitr. Ramadan is the ninth of Islamic calendar, which Muslims follow. Ramadan is the month of fasting for Muslims, which last for one month and the end of this Ramadan month marks the beginning of the Eid-ul-fitr. Sighting of the crescent moon (hilal) marks the beginning of the Ramadan. If hilal is seen at night then the next day is the first day of Ramadan and fasting. On the similar lines when the hilal is visible again at the end of the month, it is the time to celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr (break the fast). Fitr means to break and thereby Eid turns to be the break the Ramadan fast and all the evils habits.

Eid-Ul-Fitr Celebrations:

Eid is the day of celebrations for all the Muslims. Muslims celebrate this festival in their own ways and spread happiness and love all around to create an ambience. All the near and dear ones get together to pray and have meals together. Children on Eid have a great fun, as they get Eid gifts, perks, sweets and best wishes from all their relatives and near and dear one’s. Children exchange gifts among their cousins and friends on the eid-ul-fitr.

Gifts For Children On Eid-Ul-Fitr:

The gifts for children on Eid should be some useful gifts for them like:

  • Candles
  • Colors
  • Clothes
  • Sweets
  • Games like puzzles
  • Storybooks
  • Stationary materials

AIMYM Eid Gift Project

All India Muslim Youth Majlis recognized that  thousands of people cannot enjoy the pleasure of Eid due to their helplessness and poverty.

With small donations of $50.00 an Eid Gift can be given to the children of these poor and deprived areas of India, with this help AIMYM bring a smile on their innocent young faces.
 Eid Project

MGR prepared Eid Gift packages and distributed them to each deserving needy family. Each gift pack typically consists of the following:

  • Clothing (Female/Male Suit)
  • Sugar (5kg)
  • Vermicelli (2 packets)
  • Sweets for Children
  • Money

AIMYM Sehri / Iftaari Project

Everyone having the capacity and who is a Muslim is duty bound to fast during the month of Ramadan each year. Many people welcome Ramadan in their own unique way and some opt to open the fast of their fellow brothers and sisters. AIMYM on a regular basis holds breakfast and evening meal camps in various areas of  Bihar/Jharkhand providing samosas, pakoras, oranges, bananas, meat, rice and dates to some 100 people in each camp for15 days, from 15th day of Ramadan to the 29th day.
In addition, MGR provides the following:

  • Distribute Fitra in the month of Ramadan among the Needy and the Poor before Eid ul Fitr
  • Provide Eid Gifts for the less fortunate children around the country an opportunity to be involved in the celebrations of Eid along with the rest of the celebrating world.
  • Collects Zakat that allows AIMYM to implement its education and health projects giving a lasting change to people’s lives across the world.
  • Runs a Qurbani project that allows AIMYM to provide fresh meat to  people in Bihar/Jharkhand.

This work can only continue with your support.

The AIMYM Fidya Service

AIMYM distributes Fidya among the deserving in the form of food to those who qualify to receive Zakat. Fidya is for those who are unable to fast in the month of Ramadan (the elderly, the sick, the handicapped, etc.) so compensation must be given by feeding a poor person for every day of fasting not observed. For each day of missed fasts a person has to feed a poor person, two meals a day.

Please donate $5.00 to feed a poor person, 2 meals in a day.

The AIMYM Kafarah Service

Kafaraah is for those people who intentionally break a fast in a month of Ramadan without a valid reason (i.e. by eating, smoking, or by drinking etc.) so compensation must be given for each fast broken, which comprises of either; Fast for 60 consecutive days or Feeding a poor person 2 meals a day for 60 days

To undertake Kafarah on your behalf the cost is $5.00 per person per day, so for 60 days it equates to $300.00.

Aqeeqah   Programs

Qurbani
Children are a blessing and they bring joy and happiness when they enter our lives. The birth of a child is a time to rejoice and give thanks to the Creator by sharing with the hungry and the destitute. Aqeeqah is a gracious program by which new parents and family members can celebrate the miracle of birth while making charitable work one of the first actions done on the child’s behalf.    More...

TQurbani or sacrifice is also known as Udhiyyah. It is Wajib upon all mature Muslims who, on the day of `Eid al-Adha, possess Nisab. Whoever qualifies for this is required to purchase a sheep or goat of more than one year in age, and slaughter that in the name of Allah after the `Eid prayer preferably on the same day.    More...
Ramadan

Sadaqah
Among the five pillars of Islam, the fourth pillar is dedicated to preach fasting during the holy month of Ramadan. Also, known as Ramazan, the word finds it's origin in Arabic language, which denotes the ninth month in the Islamic Calendar called Hijri.    More...

This is identical to the Qurbani, the only difference is that this is not a necessary act. The rules of the slaughter are the same as Qurbani. The rewards are the same and the benefits include feeding the poor. This service is available for Aqiqah (sacrifice in gratitude at the birth of a child), Walimah (sacrifice in gratitude at the time of marriage), and all other supererogatory sacrifices.    More...
Zakaat

Eid Gift Project

Zakaat is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, is the giving of 2.5% of one's possessions (surplus wealth) to charity, generally to the poor and needy. The Shia double this to 5% of one's possessions. It is often compared to the system of tithing and alms, but it serves principally as the welfare contribution to poor and deprived Muslims, although others may have a rightful share. It is the duty of an Islamic community to distribute it fairly as well.    More...
